Born and raised in Bakersfield, California, Andy Morales is the son of a combat veteran who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom and an office manager with a local grape company. His parents taught him the value of hard work, respect for others and never giving up. He got his first job at age 16 doing manual labor at the same grape company where his mother works as an office manager. Andy spent his childhood at school in McFarland, a predominantly low-income immigrant community. There, he witnessed the struggles of honest, working-class families. By the time he graduated from high school in Bakersfield, Andy was determined to pursue a path that would enable him to fight on behalf of everyday people against the self-serving interests of the powerful.

Andy graduated from Fresno State in 2022 with a degree in Criminology and now works in private security. However, his determination to fight for children, working families and those who are struggling has led him to pursue a seat in Congress in 2024. Too many politicians fail to truly work in support of the interests of those they represent and, instead, only work for their donors and special interests. Politicians like Kevin McCarthy only cater to the rich and powerful-not to families like ours. Andy is standing up to create opportunities for those disenfranchised by the current system.
